We hope you have had a lovely summer holiday and are raring to go for the new year ahead. Please check out our class page frequently throughout the year for letters, information, photos and to catch up with what we are learning about.
We will upload our weekly letter to detail what we have done, under the 'weekly letters' tab every Friday. On these you will find suggestions as to how you can engage with and support your child's learning at home. As well as this, the most important thing you can do at home is to engage with reading. Please read and share stories with your child daily. This really helps to support them to become confident and enthusiastic readers!
In Acorn Class, what and how the children learn is directed by them and their interests. Our days are a mix of structured activities (such as 'Busy Hands' to help improve fine motor skills ready for writing) and child initiated sessions. We take advantage of our lovely rural setting to do as much outdoor learning as we can.
