Welcome to Wootton's home learning page.
As mentioned in the parent mail this afternoon, your child will be coming home with a pack containing the activities needed for the next ten school days. Although these are outlined from day 1 to day 10, you do not have to complete these in that particular numerical order. If your child is currently at home, this pack will be sent to you. If for any reason you misplace the pack, the links and documents will be on this class page.
Along with this pack, you will have been given a timetable to help you structure your day. Along with the resources, I will also be adding links to useful websites, games, videos and other activities or challenges. Hopefully you will find these a useful way to consolidate and practise things that have been taught. If your child is struggling on an activity, please remind them to think back to our classroom learning or look at some of the strategies that I will be uploading onto this page. If they are still struggling with this and you need some help, contact me via my email: SIve@selsted.kent.sch.uk. I will aim to respond to emails as soon as I can. If there is a common question, I will upload more resources to provide additional support for you.
You will notice that some activities may be linked to SATs papers or alien words (as found in the phonics screen check). Although, these tests are no longer going ahead, these are still a great way to develop the skills needed in preparation for either year 2 or year 3.
I will be uploading resources in the next couple of days, so everything is ready for Monday. Please keep checking this page as I will continue to add any additional resources I find and planning, if this closure extends beyond 10 days.
I cannot wait until we get back to being Wootton class again and I will miss seeing and working with you all on a daily basis. I am so proud of your hard work and everything you have achieved over the last (almost) four terms and I know you will continue to be brilliant learners at home.
Please keep safe and I send you all my very best wishes,
Miss Ive :)
