In Acorn Class, what and how the children learn is directed by them and their interests. Our days are a mix of structured activities (such as 'Busy Hands' to help improve fine motor skills ready for writing) and child initiated sessions. We take advantage of our lovely rural setting to do as much outdoor learning as we can.
Our Early Years team consists of:
Miss Amess - Teaching Assistant
Miss Nundy - Teaching Assistant
When the weather is good, we like to get out and about, being active in our learning. In this activity we wanted to find out what Autumn smells like. There was lots of investigation lots of grass, leaves, twigs, feathers and mud all mixed up with water. The children loved it!
On the 4th October 2016 the whole school learned more about skipping. We had a special coach who showed us ways to jump and balance with skipping ropes. It was really good fun!
