FOSS is our Parent Teacher Association and provides a valuable link between parents and the school, not only for raising funds but also socially. Our two main events are the Christmas and Summer fairs but there are many smaller events such as quiz nights and coffee mornings as well as raffles, projects and competitions which help us to raise money to provide experiences and equipment for the children.
In 2015/16 our main focus has been on raising funds to purchase the field next to the school which we hope will enrich outdoor learning, sport and play.
All parents are automatically members but past pupils, parents, staff or those who have an interest in the school can join too. We welcome any new members to the committee and look forward to seeing you all at FOSS events.
FOSS organised the 3rd of 4 coffee mornings in aid of the class charities. This time it was the turn of Denton's class charity The Rhodes Minnis cattery, raising approximately £35.
Thank you to the parents who attended and to those who were able to join us.
Look out next term for another coffee morning organised by FOSS
FOSS held a coffee morning on Friday 29th January 2016 with the proceeds being shared between FOSS and Acorn's class charity The Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Thank you to the parents who attended or donated cakes. As usual the cakes were amazing, there were even some with the school logo on!
In all we raised approximately £70.
On Friday 18th March FOSS held another successful coffee morning in aid of BARC (Wootton class charity). They raised approx £59.
Thank you for continuing to support the class charities and FOSS with your donations.
The next coffee morning will be in aid of Denton class charity.
