School Meals
SCHOOL MEALS
Meals are provided by Whole School Meals, prepared offsite at another local Primary School and transported daily to Selsted in heated containers. Menus are available on the school website and are regularly emailed home. A school meal currently costs £2.75 (September 2025). Payment should be made via Arbor, the office do not accept cash payments.
Facilities are available for pupils to eat a packed lunch prepared by their parents. These meals should be brought to school in a clearly marked container bearing the child’s name. Selsted has Healthy Schools status which means that, in line with government guidance, we encourage children to have healthy choices in their lunchbox (we discourage chocolate and sweets and suggest that crisps are given once a week to coincide with the chips that non packed lunch children have on Fridays).
Under the new Government scheme, from September 2014, Key Stage 1 pupils are entitled to a Free school meal. However if you are in recent of benefits that would have entitled you to free school meals through the old system we would encourage you to speak to a member of the office staff.
