Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The children love sharing their books from home!
Wootton Class had a wonderful day today at The East Kent Ploughing Match. They watched birds of prey, horses and dogs perform in the arena in addition to seeing some old and new tractors and ploughs. The children finished the day by interviewing different people (Police, Farmers etc) in preparation for their writing tasks this week.
A wonderful event was attended by Swingfield Class this morning. 5 Church of England Schools (Selsted, Christchurch, St Eanswythe's, St Mary's and St Peter's) all got together for group worship. Songs, prayers and reading were shared alongside the national anthem to the new King Charles III. We were blessed to be joined by Bishop Rose (The Bishop of Dover)
Swingfield Class have taken inspiration from their visit to The Greenwich Observatory last week to paint pictures of the moon. They were only permitted three colours and needed to consider how they could mix them for the best results. Interesting paint techniques were used to give texture too - good job Swingfield!
Swingfield had a great day at The Greenwich Observatory today. They showed off their great knowledge of what they have learnt so far. If only we could have stayed longer!
This morning the children enjoyed an interactive show around well-being called Fantastic Fred. They learnt how to support their own well being by looking at Food, Rest, Exercise and Devices.
Ask your children what they have learnt today!
Across the school day, we took time to learn a little bit more about Roald Dahl- learning about his life and work, reading some of his well-loved stories and participating in arts and crafts activities. Here are some photos of our very own Marvellous Medicine Recipes......
